Tree of Life

Tree of life wallThe Emergency Food Bank Tree of Life is located in the Thomas F. Wilson Nutrition Education Center, and ideally positioned in the main hallway of the building, highly visible to our visitors.  You, your family or your business will have your name permanently imprinted and prominently displayed on a leaf, apple or monarch butterfly when you become a member of the Tree of Life.

Qualified Charitable Contributions

Charitable inclined individuals age 70.5 have a tax-savvy strategy called Qualified Charibale Distribution (QCD). This enables tie IRA owner to instruct the custodian of their IRA to send payments directly from the IRA to a charity such as the Emergency Food Bank. In this approach the IRA owner can satisfy the annual RMD requirements and avoid the taxable income associated with the RMD. Please contact your IRA adminstrator, tax, or financial advisor to explore the venefits of a QCD.
