Donor Advised Fund (DAF)
A DAF is an easy, tax-smart way to support the Food Bank. Work with a local financial advisor to establish a professionally managed account that an grow tax-free while contributing to our mission.
Donor Advised Fund – How it works.

Donors open an account with contributions of cash, securities, or other assets. Contributions are irrevocable and tax-deductible. When appreciated non-cash assets held for a year or more are contributed to a donor-advised fund account, they are typically not subject to capital gains taxes when they are sold

To maximize the tax-free growth potential of donors’ charitable assets, our advisor offers a range of investment investment management options tailored to your risk, tax and time preferences.

Donors grants the funds to the Food Bank charity with any level of privacy or recognition. Working with recognized national custodians, the advisor then issues the grant and consolidates records. From there, you will work with our advisor to manage the account on behalf of the Food Bank.

This strategy can satisfy annual required minimum distributions (RMDs) while avoiding the taxable income typically associated with RMDs. Please consult your IRA adminstrator, tax advisor, or financial planner to see if a QCD is right for you.
